Young Indigenous Printmakers (YIPs)

The YIPs program presents linocut prints created by local high school students during skills development workshops with established artists at their schools & in the Umbrella makerspace. This exhibition features work by students from Thuringowa State High School and Townsville Flexible Learning Centre.
This collaborative outreach project is a partnership with Townsville City Council Galleries. The students were supported by Umbrella’s artist mentors Martina Ah Sam and Margaret Robertson.
Visitors must comply with Umbrella’s COVID19 Safety Plan and directives.
Gallery open: Tues-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat-Sun 9am-1pm, and closed on Mondays, public holidays and during exhibition install weeks. Follow our social media for updates.
