At Home Artist in Residence (AHAIR) program

Umbrella was thrilled to announce three successful applicants for the COVID-responsive At Home Artist In Residence (AHAIR) program.

AHAIR was a pivot in response to COVID-19 and Umbrella's usual AIR program. The program provided opportunities for North Queensland visual artists who had lost income and opportunities as a result of the coronavirus. The 3 North Queensland artists achieved their residencies based on need and the quality of their applications. They created new work from their home studios for two weeks in June 2020.

Read more about the artists’ projects by clicking on the images or their names.

The AHAIR program was presented in partnership with the Regional Art Services Network (RASN), North QLD.
