Drone Dreams
Lynn Scott-Cumming is a visual artist and writer with over forty years’ experience in the arts. The artist’s sense of place has been fortified by living in Townsville for over thirty years, where she has come to strongly identify with the mangroves and surrounding landscapes. In her Creative Sparks project Drone Dreams, Scott-Cumming aims to re-visit and recontextualise these settings from above, via the use of drone photography. The new perspectives of Townsville have informed the creation of new sketches and print work. View Lynn’s live-stream discussion here and see an example of her aerial photographs and resultant artworks below.
Commissioned through Creative Sparks, this project receives generous support from the Regional Arts Development Fund. RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
