Squeak + Bubble
Breathe in… Breathe out... Through breath we are intrinsically entwined with the trees and plant life around us. Pause for a moment beneath the canopy of this grand old fig tree temporarily and gently transformed into a glowing cathedral of colour. Access the sound healing journey, taking a moment to breathe and recentre. Experience the quiet exchange between your body and the living world around you.
This work merges the visual language and discarded artefacts of medicine with the living systems of nature and the roots of the fig tree, which is both a complex biological phenomenon and an ancient cultural symbol of life, nurturing and restoration.
About The ArtistSqueak + Bubble are collaborators Nora Gigney and Kit Holloway. Together they create large-scale installations for festivals, public spaces, events and galleries. Their playful and thoughtful site-responsive works combine sculpture, lighting, sound and reclaimed materials to transform spaces into immersive works that invite curiosity and interaction.
For Life Support, Squeak + Bubble are joined by sound healing practitioner Sheryl Lowe. Drawing from her background as a Registered Nurse, retreat leader and somatic practitioner, Lowe designs experiences that blend guided meditation, therapeutic soundscapes and embodied awareness, inviting participants into states of presence, reflection and restoration.
