Clay Stoneware Package

Create with clay for your next team-building event, Christmas party or group celebration in Umbrella’s gallery space alongside local artist Baylee Griffin! Bond and celebrate together while learning the art of hand-building a functional stoneware vessel. Learn how to decorate your pieces by carving with tools and pressing textured items into the clay. Design a one-of-a-kind pottery item to keep or a unique hand-made gift! This workshop is suitable for beginners and finished work will be microwave and dishwasher safe. All materials and equipment, glazing and firing fees, and tea and coffee are included.

Umbrella is conveniently located within walking distance to most hotels and businesses in the Townsville CBD and near the Townsville Bus Hub. Events may be booked for evenings or weekend afternoons to guarantee privacy, while regular art workshops or classes may be booked in The Studio during the gallery’s regular opening hours (Tues-Fri 9am-5pm | Sat-Sun 9am-1pm), pending availability. Organisers and attendees must consider public access to the exhibitions on display (if during the gallery’s opening hours) and must ensure due care is taken around the artworks on display.
