Taste of Art 2021

6-10pm Thur 30th Sept 2021

Taste of Art 2021

$175

You are invited to join Umbrella on Gurambilbarra, the land of the Wulgurukaba people, for a culinary art adventure. Taste of Art will comprise a 3 course alfresco progressive dinner (by the creative team at A Touch of Salt), live music and a guided night-time street art tour. This event has been curated for lovers of art, music and fine food, and those looking for an insight into Townsville’s creative scene - right in the heart of the CBD!

At the end of the event, guests will have a rare opportunity to hear Gail Mabo (Daughter of Eddie Kioki Mabo) speak about her exhibition: House of Cards exclusive to Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts.

This event was postponed in July due to COVID closures and cancellations. Current tickets will still be honoured.

Starting with a drink and canapes on arrival at A Touch of Salt whilst enjoying a live performance by a local musician. We then split into three groups for a short walking tour of Townsville’s best public artworks. Next, you will arrive at a long-table dinner event which is BYO alcohol (drop your small eskies/coolers off prior) at Flinders Lane. When dinner is finished, we have saved the best until last… a delectable dessert experience at Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts and an artist talk by Gail Mabo.

This event is a fundraiser for the gallery, supporting our free program of exhibitions throughout the year, and helping artists to create income from their practice, and reach new audiences and customers.

Limited spaces | $175 per ticket
