Fibres and Fabrics is an association of people interested in the use and promotion of fibre and textiles in art and craft fields. The group interests include basketry, cross stitch, embroidery, felting, knitting, lace making, paper, patchwork, quilting, spinning, soft sculpture, surface design and weaving.
The association provides a wide library range of up to date books and magazines for all members and newsletters from other art/craft groups throughout Australia are available. Equipment is also available for hire by members.
Workshops are organised with nationally and internationally known tutors, as well as mini-workshops on a great variety of aspects of fibre arts and skills. Members’ exhibitions are organised each year, at local galleries and the craft show.
