Craig Hoy is an artist and potter based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. Craig holds numerous tertiary qualifications including a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Fine Arts (CoFA), Sydney. His ceramic works largely feature raku fired forms. He loves the immediacy of the results, and the element of chance that the heat, flame and smoke of the raku process produces through marks and scars on each piece. Craig’s work is represented in institutional collections including Cairns Regional Gallery, Toowoomba Regional Gallery, Bendigo Art Gallery, The University of New South Wales, and the University of Sydney.
