Tarlan Rafiee

The little fish who loved a flower

Born in 1980 in Tehran, Iran, I began painting professionally in 1998. In 2001, myself and some other painters established Charsoo Painting group, with the official support of the Charsoo Artistic Institute. After receiving my BA degree in Industrial Design in 2004, I started printmaking techniques professionally. I have been an official member of the Charsoo Printmaking group since it was originally established. I’m also a professional photographer and a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA). I have held many painting and printmaking exhibitions in the best known galleries and art museums in Iran. I’m working with some well-known children’s book publishers as an illustrator. My artworks are kept in private and public collections in Iran, Europe and Canada.
