Relief Racer

I created a hybrid/process piece of sculpture from the relief print process. Each time the block of wood was cut, carved or sanded, I documented the process by inking up the ‘car’ and printing it. The seven layers were printed by transferring the ink from the ‘block’ to the paper with food service style ‘cling’ wrap, which allowed the concave and convex surfaces on the sculpture to register.
