The Things

For this print, I tried to come up with some kind of fictitious, prehistoric creature that looks something like a polar bear and which lived in deep caves many thousands of years ago. Because of the darkness of the environment, there was no need for their eyesight and they became blind.  This allowed them to be captured, tamed and used for their tremendous power and endurance as a means of transport and weapon of war.  I started with a pencil sketch, which I scanned and then coloured using Photoshop.
