I’m interested in looking at human and non-human forces that impact on the landscape, and questioning why we have certain common perceptions about the beauty or ugliness of these impacts.  The mining industry especially attracts me, because I was part of that industry for 10 years.  Where others often see mining as ‘rape’ of the land, I see revelations of form, texture, and colour.
