Linda Scotti

Peeled and Stitched

I’ve done a Bachelor of Arts: Visual Arts, majoring in textiles and painting at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. I am currently completing my honours. Most of my artwork consists of small, intimate, hand-stitched textiles. I then photograph and document the stitching and print the image back onto material, using either digital printing techniques or silk screening. The print enclosed is a digital print of a stitched up orange peel. The image is one of a series of five, which document the different stages of the orange peel decomposing. Emphasising the tension of the thread on the shrinking orange peel.
