Chalta

Asian elephants, macaques and deer enjoy eating ‘Chalta’, the Hindi name for Elephant Apple. Found in forest reserves in parts of India, the persistence of the tree these apples comes from is due to the elephant spreading their seeds. Both the tree and elephant rely on each other for survival.
