The surface of a rock emanates years of exposure to the natural elements of rain, sun and fire. Through the medium of etching, exploring the different use of bitumen ground and open-bite, I have worked to create a print surface that is layered with what appears on the exposed surface of a rock face found at the abandoned West End Quarry.
