The Re-formed Buddha

The reformed Buddha relates to our need to personally reform ourselves in our search for inner peace. The Re-form uses my drawings of real flesh, taking the Buddha away from its iconic Buddhist form that pre-dates Buddhism and can be seen also as the “Seated Scribe” dating back to 1353bc, also a figure of learning and concentration. The Western search for peace has become one where we surround ourselves with a luxurious garden and other images of hope in a world apparently chaotic, without reflection. Drawings are re-formed, and combined to make a fresh image
