Landline

Landline is from a series of prints using small and rather flat pieces of found ‘tin’ (corrugated iron).  These pieces are cut down from a larger printing plate from a previous edition.  I am interested in corrugated iron as a material and as a metaphor for the land.  The horizontal marks are made from a collagraph plate – like the man-made boundaries we use for real estate.  The banded colours from the chine collé rice paper refer to decorative watercolour painting.
