Iram Wani

Landscape

The print “Landscape” is inspired by the of the poetry of the two female mystic poets and ascetics, Habba khatoon who is known as ‘Nightingale of Kashmir’ and Lal Ded or ‘’Lalleshwari’’. It is a symbolic account of ascension of soul and mind from the false self to the true self. A journey that seems very difficult and complex but once comprehended, in its essence, is simplest and purest of the innate understandings.
