でめきん (DEMEKIN)

I recently got some pet goldfish and have become really attached to them, so I couldn’t resist making my print of my black moor goldfish! Goldfish are really popular in Japan and these big-eye varieties are called DEMEKIN. Deme = big eyes, kin = gold. Contrary to popular belief, goldfish should not live in a small bowl. A rule of thumb is 20 gallons of water for your first goldfish and 10 gallons for each fish afterward. Smaller tanks are inhumane and cause the fish to suffer and die early.
